Our Humble Beginnings

To really explain who we are and what we stand for, let us first explain how we decided to start a Gift Basket business.

Before we even opened our doors in 1988, we realized a huge whole in the market for the type of quality gift that the corporate world was used to experiencing. The few baskets that were available were more on the level of a cottage industry, with a decidedly “country” feel to them. We did our homework and realized how many of you loved the concept of giving gift baskets, but were put off by the boring look, lack of choice and expensive price tag.

	We already had a very long familial food service background.
	What we needed were ideas that would knock your socks off.
	We needed Designs and Containers that no one ever saw before.
	We searched high and low for the perfect containers.
	We identified and bought the newest and most flavorful food offerings in the most attractive packages.
	We went to bimonthly wine tastings to identify the best value wines and champagnes.
	When we finished assembling all the ingredients, we went out and hired the most up-to-date and creative designers and let them loose.

The result was a universal reaction with each and every delivery......
”Oh Wow !!!!!!” Can I have your card ?
And that’s how Fabulous Baskets was born.
Our baskets are our real babies.
We’ve even named them !
They are true creations of love, imagination and ingenuity.
