How Do I Find The
Right Basket?
We have over a hundred
"Fabulous Baskets" on line!
You can search either through
the category buttons on the side or you can
use the search feature, either with a key word
or, if you know it, with the basket number
You will be delighted to
note that the featured items are sent exactly
as pictured, if not even nicer! The rest of
the pictured baskets are available and in stock
on a rotating basis. We can usually substitute
either basket, ribbons or product of equal or
greater value.
What If Fabulous
Baskets Is Out Of An Item, Will We Substitute?
Yes. In the event that
we are out of a particular item we will substitute
with an item that is of equal or greater value
and similar in nature without compromising the
overall design, theme, color and quality of
the gift basket.
Can I Request A
Custom Gift Basket?
Yes! We're delighted to
create a gift basket that suits your particular
needs and budget. We carry a large selection
of items in our warehouse that are not shown
on our web site. Give us a call at 888-BASKET9
and we'll be happy to create the perfect gift
for you.
During Holiday times, only
our best designers are entrusted to create the
custom work. This might entail a small delay
in processing your order.
What If I Want
To Change A Few Items In A Basket?
Making sure you get the
gift you want is our number one priority. Most
of the time, this is very easy for us to do.
Feel free to request changes to a basket, online,
by entering those changes in the [Special Requests]
box of our order form or by calling us at 888-BASKET9.
If we can fulfill it, we will.
In some cases, items you
request to change may be at a lower or higher
price than what is shown on line. We will call
you with a quote before proceeding with the
order.
Please note that during
certain times of the year, we feature special
baskets with specific products, at a particularly
favorable value. We can add wine or champagne,
but usually are not able to substitute items
without incurring an additional delay in processing
the order and/or an extra charge.
When Does Fabulous
Baskets Make Our Gift Baskets?
All baskets requiring Fresh
Products (Fruit, Fresh Baked Cookies, etc) are
made the day of or the day before the basket
is scheduled to go out.
All custom baskets are
made shortly before they are scheduled to go
out.
During the year, we keep
a close eye on all items, ordering smaller amounts,
and re-ordering often, to ensure that we can
offer our clients the newest and freshest inventory
available.
During high traffic times
of the year, we have a full crew preparing baskets
with fresh packaged inventory that come in during
the weeks leading up to the holiday. This allows
us to react quickly to all requests, while keeping
on hand a variety of baskets for "emergency"
lists. (It's really reminiscent of Santa's workshop!)

What Size Are The
Items In The Gift Baskets?
Unlike other basket companies,
at Fabulous Baskets we believe you deserve the
very best in quality and value and use only
full size products in our gift baskets, unless
specifically noted.
What Quality of
Products Does Fabulous Baskets Use ?
Fabulous Baskets owners
and management go to trade shows all around
the world to find the perfect items to put in
our baskets. We define the perfect item as the
newest products & flavors, the best flavors,
the most attractively packaged products, within
each price point. While some of our gourmet
items may sound familiar, generally they are
from top-notch manufacturers who provide their
products to only high end gourmet stores.
Fruit
When Is It Appropriate
To Order Fruit ?
Fruit baskets are always
a popular choice. It is an ideal choice for
"Healthy" Baskets, for Kosher Baskets
and always popular for Sympathy or Get Well
Baskets.
Please note that fruit
needs to be refrigerated. The basket needs to
be opened as soon as it is received. Any fruit
that is not consumed immediately must be refrigerated
and eaten in a timely manner. This is not always
possible for people in the hospital, if you
are sending to their home when they are not
there, or when they receive a lot of fruit "sympathy
baskets".
Please think of the person
who is receiving your basket before ordering
fruit.
What Fruit
Goes In Your Baskets ?
To keep our fruit
baskets to Fabulous Baskets' exacting requirements,
we go to market on a regular basis. We pick
the best and freshest fruit available, from
the most reputable sellers. We pick from an
assortment of seasonal fruits in order to make
fruit baskets available year round.
Are There
Any Ordering Restrictions?
During the year, we request a minimum of 48
hours notice.
During the month
of December, we close production of our other
baskets down on 2 consecutive Sundays and design
our Fruit Baskets, ready for delivery the next
2 days (Monday or Tuesday).We order the fruit
on Wednesdays, and therefore request orders
to be in hand 5 days before delivery.
Can We
Ship Fruit ?
There are 2 choices for shipping fruit.
First we can ship
our regular Fruit Baskets if we air ship them
next-day or 2-day. We send the fruit just short
of "ripe" so that it arrives in peak
condition.
We also can arrange
to send citrus boxes during season.
Kosher
Can Fabulous
Baskets Accommodate Kosher Requests ?
Fabulous Baskets can always accommodate Kosher
Baskets for our Jewish Friends. However, with
more of a "heads up" we can tailor
the basket more to your wishes or accommodate
larger groups of people.
What does
Kosher Mean ?
Food & beverage items are deemed kosher
when the manufacturer conforms to rabbinical/Jewish
food handling and ingredients laws. When the
rabbi asserts that all is in compliance, he
allows the manufacturer to put a Kosher symbol
on the packaging. There are several "degrees"
and corresponding kosher symbols.
Kosher food laws
are a little complicated.
Some items are
naturally "kosher"(eg fruit, coffee).
Some items can never be considered Kosher (ham
products, seafood products, any food with gelatin
in it).
Some items are
"kosher" but if combined in the same
container as non-kosher foods, are then no longer
considered "kosher. This means that a basket
can not be "partially" kosher.
Some combinations of kosher foods can not be
put in the same container and keep its "kosher
status" (eg milk products with meat products)
When is
it appropriate to send Kosher Baskets ?
Orthodox, some Conservative and some Reform
Jewish families only allow Kosher products in
their homes. Kosher products are also becoming
increasingly popular with people of the Muslim
and Seventh Day Adventists faith. Some people
have the perception of a higher standard and
quality for Kosher products, and also like to
give and receive them.
Do I Have
To Send Kosher Baskets To All Jewish People
?
As in every religion, there are some followers
who are more traditional and follow the kosher
laws in the strictest of sense. Others, probably
the majority, do no follow kosher laws, or follow
the laws in a more relaxed fashion. It is possible
that this latter group, though Jewish, would
prefer one of the baskets from our regular lineup.
Can I
Send One Of The "Holiday" Baskets
to Someone Who Does Not Keep Kosher?
Yes of course ! However, you might prefer to
use "Jewish Colors" or to add something
specific that denotes their own Holiday (Chanukah,
Passover, Rosh Hashanah).
What do
you mean by Jewish Colors?
Traditionally, we used royal blue and white
(the Israeli Flag) ribbons, tissues, etc.
The artistic industry
has expanded this to include all shades of blue
and purple, with white, gold and/or silver.
When ordering
baskets for one of the Jewish Holidays, please
specify if the basket needs to be kosher or
if using regular products decorated with Jewish
colors is acceptable.
Is there
anything else that is unusual about kosher laws?
The Jewish holiday, Passover, has a completely
different set of kosher laws than the rest of
the year. Primarily, food products that use
"leavening" are not allowed. At this
time of year, Kosher symbols by themselves are
not acceptable. The products must say "Kosher
for Passover". As before, if one product
in a container does not say "Kosher for
Passover" the whole container-full of products
is now deemed not kosher.

When is
Champagne or wine an appropriate choice ?
Wine and Champagne
are such an integral part of our product line.
They pair perfectly with just about anything.
Wonderful with Chocolates. Wonderful with Fruits.
Wonderful with savories.
It is a perfect
way to tell someone Congratulations ! Celebrate
! You're Sophisticated!
Perfect for Romance! Perfect for Health ! Perfect
for Picnics and Relaxing. In short, there is
almost never a wrong time to indulge.
It's no wonder
that wine and champagne are the single most
requested items to add into our basket. So important
that we have designed special baskets just around
the wine or champagne.
Do I have
to order specific baskets ?
As mentioned,
we have designed several exclusive and "Fabulous"
baskets around our wonderful Wines and Champagnes.
These designs are a wonderful place for you
to start your selections. If you have something
else in mind, we will be happy to add a bottle
of your choice to almost any of our other designs
or to work with you to custom design your own
wine basket.
What is
the quality of your wine ?
We have an extensive
line of premium imported and domestic champagnes,
wines, and beers. We are as exacting about our
wine standards as with our gourmet line. Our
resident wine expert is a "wine" snob
who goes to different wine tastings every month.
He will not buy a wine or champagne that is
not, as they say in wine lingo, "imminently
drinkable" with "good" verging
on "great" ratings, no matter what
the price point. In fact, over the years, some
of our wine collecting clients have come to
us for our advice whenever they need a great
bottle. In all our years of operation, we have
never had a complaint on the quality of our
wine selections. Only raves. We do the hard
work, so that you don't need to.
My friend
is a wine collector, do you have more expensive
wines ?
Our line of wines
start at $15/bottle and run up to over $100.
Our champagnes start at $25 and can run over
$300/bottle. A true wine connoisseur (and we
have several collectors amongst our clients)
will enjoy a wonderfully rated $15 bottle almost
as much as the $300 bottle. How much you spend,
depends on what you want to say and how much
you want to impress, rather than his/her discerning
palette.
Is there
ever a time that is not appropriate to send
Wine or Champagne ?
We highly discourage
you from sending any alcoholic beverages to
a hospital. Alcohol interferes with several
of the medications used in the hospital and
may mask some symptoms.
We also discourage
you from sending alcohol to a new mother that
you know will be breast feeding. (However, we
are sure dad will thoroughly appreciate it.)
It is also not
customary to send alcohol to a funeral.
And as always,
in accordance with all state and federal laws,
we will not send alcohol to anyone who is underage.

Do we
have Baby Baskets ?
Do we have Baby
Baskets ? Boy do we ever ! It is probably our
favorite thing to design. Everyone of our designers
fight over the right to make baby baskets. This
is a good thing, because we get a lot of requests
for one of our famous baby baskets. This line
of gift baskets represents about 30 % of our
daily sales. You will find over 30 different
designs/gifts on the web, to choose from.
Why are
your Baby Baskets so special ?
Where do we begin
? Every baby basket starts with a container.
We take special
pride in the containers we choose. Almost each
one has an alternate "baby" use after
Mom disassembles it. We know we are doing something
right when we see so many other basket companies
baskets blatantly trying to copy our designs.
We spend a lot of time looking for a nice balance
of quality baby gifts to arrange in the container.
And then there
is the "finish". No-one finishes a
basket like Fabulous Baskets. When you see it,
you'll understand why we are so proud. Every
scissor stroke, every extra ribbon, every carefully
placed product, is well thought out to earn
a "wow" effect. And our drivers tell
us we get that "Wow !!!!" response
almost each and every time. Our creations are
truly that, a work of art .
What goes
into your Baby Baskets ?
Each and every
baby basket is different in some way.
We change our
inventory on a weekly basis, keeping our look
as "fresh" as possible.
Sometimes, baby gift demands, outstrips our
ordering, and we are out of items from one of
our several manufacturers. Sometimes they discontinue
an item or go out of business. Sometimes baby
gift manufacturers raise their prices to a level
that Fabulous Baskets no longer deems competitive.
Sometimes we simply find a better source.
On the whole,
our design team likes to choose from a mix of
clothing, bath items, toys, bottles, bibs, stuffed
animals and much more. It's all about the baby.
Am I limited to
sending baby items for newborns ?
Absolutely not...
We can send one really nice gift, or flowers
or plants or gourmet combinations. We can also
add in Champagne and/or Chocolate Cigars for
dad, spa items or chocolates/gourmet for Mom
and/or a toy for big brother or sister.
Some of our standard
items are also chosen with the thought that
the baby will either "grow into it"
or it will be a treasured keepsake for a long
time.
For those of you
who receive one of our baskets, if your baby
bonds strongly with an item (usually a stuffed
animal) we highly recommend you try to purchase
a second one in reserve "just in case".
We can't tell you how often some one calls in
tears because their 3 year old just tore/lost
their "security blanket" stuffed animal
from when we sent a basket 3 years prior - and
now they can't replace it !
Any restrictions
on Baby Baskets ?
There are no restrictions
on the baskets themselves. However, it is important
to note 4 points when ordering:
There is a growing
trend on the part of hospitals to refuse latex
balloon deliveries due to the wide spread latex
allergy of nurses and patients. Fabulous Baskets
has elected to leave off all latex balloons
from our baskets going to hospitals.
Several Hospitals
will not allow deliveries to patients until
they are assigned a room. We will wait for a
room number before attempting a delivery.
Insurance companies
are increasingly shortening the time maternity
patients are allowed to stay in the Hospital.
When a basket is delivered to the Hospital and
Mom and Baby have left, we incur a charge to
return the basket to Fabulous Baskets and then
another (3rd) charge to redeliver to a home
address.
Some of our Baby
Baskets are very large and can only be transported
by larger cars and vans. We incur a surcharge
for delivery of oversized baskets.
Bath
Products
When is
it appropriate to send a bath basket ?
Spa products are
a wonderful alternative to send to your favorite
female friend. It usually is a little more personal
than sending a gourmet basket. It is also a
choice that has grown more and more popular
over the years.
With all
the body and bath stores available, why would
I buy from Fabulous Baskets?
Again, Fabulous
Baskets is the leader of the pack for unique
and gorgeous spa baskets. We have been so innovative,
that spa salons and some of the high-end spa
suppliers have come to us when they want to
showcase their products in the best light. We
take the same care in designing your basket
and then making sure they are delivered in the
same condition as when we completed them. We
get the same "WOW" effect with each
and every delivery.
What is
in our bath baskets ?
Like our baby
baskets, no two are the same. We choose from
a variety of bath lotions, oils, salts, potpourri,
loofahs, gloves, bath pillows, etc.. and other
wonderful pampering items, showcased in our
own wonderfully innovative fashion.
How expensive
are your bath baskets ?
To make a full
size "Fabulous" bath basket, we recommend
starting the basket at $75.00 . Depending on
the size, quality of products and type of container,
we have sold bath baskets up to $500 !
We do have smaller
basket items at a less expensive price, and
during key holidays (Valentines' and Professional
Assistants Day) we offer "specials"
that are wonderful values.
Flowers
When is
it appropriate to send flowers ?
Flowers are always
a kind thought, for almost every occasion. The
most popular times to order flowers are Valentines
Day, Mothers Day and Professional Assistants
Day. We send flowers for Birthdays, Sympathy
and Get Well. We send Flowers for " I Love
You" and "Just Because”. We
send flowers for New Borns. We do centerpieces
for Hostess gifts and for Office Parties. We
send plants for Christmas greetings to clients.
And believe it
or not women, the men seem to love receiving
them as much as you do !
Are there
any ordering restrictions ?
There are very
few ordering restrictions for flowers and plants
other than "seasonality". Flowers
and Plant availability are subject to time of
year.
We do not ship
flowers. We use a wire service to send your
orders out of town. Availability of flowers
in other cities and states, may also vary.
What goes
into a flower arrangement ?
What goes into
an arrangement depends on:
? Price point you choose
? Type of arrangement you order
? Occasion for the arrangement
? Season it is ordered.
The type of arrangement
you choose could be roses, tropical/exotic,
spring bouquet, or classical. You could order
by color, or by type (example, "white"
or "tulips") or combination. You can
order by occasion ( plant-housewarming, men;
roses Anniversary; spring bouquet - birthday,
female; wreaths-funerals; corsages-graduation;
presentation bouquet events; centerpieces -
office parties, weddings, etc).
Flowers can be
in presentation bouquets, in vases or in baskets
or wreaths. Typically, a variety of different
types of foliage are added (eg, ivy, leather
leaf, babies breath)
Plants can be
purchased in their original pots, in decorative
pots or in baskets. There are flowering plants,
green plants, combination plant "gardens"
and topiaries.
What is
the price of your arrangements ?
Prices shown with
each web selection are used as a guide. Pricing
varies with season and availability. We will
contact you by phone if the price has increased
from the web quote. All pricing with a "starts
at" price, means that the arrangements
at a minimum are that price. You can always
choose to spend more for a larger similar arrangement
.
Do you
have any other types of arrangements other than
what is shown ?
The pictures that are shown are representational.
There are many more arrangements available.
We are also very happy to custom design something
to fit your budget and tastes.
Anything
else I should know about flowers ?
Flowers are somewhat
more delicate than our gourmet baskets. They
require care (water, pruning, etc) for optimum
life. Different flowers and plants have different
care instructions that should be followed closely.
Balloons
Does Fabulous
Baskets Have Balloons?
We have in stock,
latex and mylar balloons. Latex Balloons generally
are colored, but not printed, though we do have
a smaller selection of printed latex balloons.
Mylar balloons generally have printing on them.
What is
the difference in Latex and Mylar Balloons ?
Latex balloons
are plastic balloons that generally last about
10- 12 hours when kept in perfect condition.
As they lose helium, they get smaller and deflate
towards the ground. They also have a tendency
to pop if not kept in a cool enough place.
Mylar balloons
are metallic balloons with colorful graphics
and sayings. When filled with helium, and if
kept under ideal conditions, they can stay inflated
from 3 -14 days. Mylar balloons are a perfect
and inexpensive way to theme a basket
Do you
do Balloon Bouquets ?
Most days we can
accommodate balloon bouquets. Balloon Bouquets
require a driver that does little more than
that delivery and have a car large enough to
put in all the balloons. Our balloon bouquets
are 10 latex balloons and 2 mylar balloons.
It is not unusual
to add a stuffed animal, mug or gift.
Do you
put balloons on all baskets ?
Three latex balloons
automatically are attached to the majority of
our full size baskets.
Is there
any restrictions to ordering balloons ?
? Hospitals are
increasingly worried about the increase of latex
allergies both with their employees and with
their patients. More and more hospitals are
not allowing deliveries of latex balloons. Fabulous
Baskets has decided to err on the side of caution,
and has been leaving off latex balloons from
baskets destined to the hospital. We can still
deliver Mylar balloons ($3.50 each). Though
we can put just one mylar balloon on a basket,
it is not an ideal presentation. The basket
looks better with at least 2 mylars.
? There are other times when we opt to leave
off balloons (eg: sympathy baskets, Christmas
baskets, Chanukah baskets).
? In addition, certain baskets look better without
balloons (eg: small baskets, very large, elegant
baskets)
? Baskets being shipped out of town do not have
balloons attached. The balloons would probably
not arrive intact, and if for some reason they
do, the extra shipping expense is usually not
worth it.
? We also leave balloons off baskets that are
picked up by you and not delivered to the client
until a few days later. We feel that flat balloons
gives the impression of old product, which is
not the case.
Can I
Specify A Message When Ordering Online?
Yes! Just fill
in your message in the Card Message box on the
order form exactly as you want it to appear.
Please remember to sign the card in a manner
that the recipient will recognize. They may
know 6 "Jims" and invariably call
us to know which one sent the wonderful gift.
Pricing
Does The
Quoted Price Include Delivery And Taxes ?
The quoted prices
include all the products in the basket, the
container, the message card, all the materials
to make the basket, wrap it up, put on a bow
and curlies, and where appropriate, 3 latex
balloons. Delivery and taxes are calculated
separately. Companies that include this in the
quoted price, have already "backed out"
the cost from the basket and usually send either
a smaller or more generic quality basket than
what you will receive from Fabulous Baskets.
What Does
It Mean When There Is More Than One Price For
A Gift Basket ?
Many of our gift
baskets are available in different sizes. Depending
on the value, size and number of items, we pick
the correct sized basket for your order and
price accordingly. We will note basket dimensions
of finished gift baskets whenever possible.
What Does
It Mean When It Says "Starts At" ?
When we denote "starts at", it means
that in that particular container, the basket
will look a little on the empty side if we attempt
to make the basket for a lesser value. We can
always add more and/or more expensive, better
quality products, or in a larger version of
the same container as you spend more money.
If you don't find what you want in the price
range that you are looking for, please consider
calling us for other suggestions. After 14 years
as a leader in the gift basket industry, we're
pretty good with ideas !!
Does Fabulous
Baskets Offer Discounts ?
There is an advantage to buying quality baskets
from one of the largest Gift Baskets stores
in the USA. The majority of our current accounts
are large corporate accounts. This means that
we can anticipate selling a larger volume of
gift baskets at most. We can and do pass those
savings on to our customers.
During high volume
sales times, our baskets are even further discounted,
especially with upgraded ribbon and containers.
The customer ordering one basket receives this
same savings as the customer who orders 1,000
baskets.
We also believe
in saying what we mean, and selling what we
say we are selling. We will not artificially
inflate our prices just so that we can discount
a basket at a later date. We will not call a
$50 basket a $60 basket, just so that we can
say we discounted it to you. That is not our
style.
Having said all
that (whew !) , we will be happy to quote you
our best possible price on large custom orders
(eg, conventions, etc.) When you call

You will find
companies that sell baskets for cheaper, or
include free or discounted shipping and delivery.
What you won’t find is equal value for
your money. For the best value we can’t
be beat !
You have much
better things to do with your valuable time
than to haggle over price and so do we.
Taxes
A 7 % sales tax
charge is added to all orders of baskets and
gifts shipped or delivered within the state
of Florida unless we receive a faxed copy of
your "Sales Tax Exemption" form.
All shipments
outside of the state of Florida are exempt from
sales tax charges.
Delivery
Can Fabulous
Baskets Deliver Baskets ?
Delivery service
is available to all our customers.
We hire drivers
at the most advantageous rate that we can find
while ensuring quality of service. In some (rare)
cases, you may have access to a less expensive
rate with your own courier service or opt to
pick up your order. We are happy to accommodate
your order whichever way you choose (our driver,
your driver, or you pick up)
Please note: if
you elect to pick up the basket yourself, or
send your own driver/courier, all food baskets
must be stored in air-conditioning, including
when in transit. Even one minute in the heat
can melt the chocolate, wilt the flowers or
pop the balloons.
Delivery
Coverage
Our delivery area
is the whole tri-county South Florida area Dade,
Broward & Palm Beach. We can ship worldwide
(please see Shipping section).
Is Delivery
Taxable ?
Delivery is a service that is available to our
customers, but by no means required to place
an order. As a service, we do not tax deliveries.
What Kind
Of Timing Does Fabulous Baskets Need For Delivery
?
During
Non-Holiday Times ?
During the calendar
year, if we have your request in stock, we can
usually accommodate orders received by 10:30
for same day delivery in Dade, possibly Broward.
Palm Beach requires at least 24 hours notice.
If it is an item
that is in stock and already made we still may
be able to deliver your order if called in before
12:30
Please note that
if it is a particularly busy day, we fulfill
orders on a first-come-first-served basis. We
will not promise basket delivery if we can not
finish making your gift before 1:00
There are of course
times when you totally forgot an occasion and
need to get the basket to your client within
a very short time frame. Please contact us to
determine if we can find a courier to accommodate
this request and at what price.
During
Holiday Times ?
To accommodate
all deliveries, we "zone" our shipments
to maximize the number of deliveries our driver
can make. This may mean that a delivery does
not go out on a particular day. We give our
drivers a "3-day window". That means
that we guarantee delivery within the 3 day
time frame. We make every attempt to get the
delivery out on the first day you request, but
may not get there until the 3rd. Please note,
that for offices, this means "business"
days.
Can I
Specify a time for delivery ?
Regularly priced
delivery charges are guaranteed between 9:00
and 5:00 to businesses or between 7:30 am to
9:00 pm for homes, hotels and hospitals.
Deliveries are
made from Monday to Saturday. We are able to
arrange some deliveries in December on Sundays.
Special delivery
time requests can often be accommodated. If
it is a school, bank etc. that is open only
to a certain time, you need to specify that
under "special delivery instructions"
If no one is home to receive a basket during
the day, again you must note that under "special
delivery instructions". This is also true
for deliveries before noon, or 2:30 or 4:00
(etc).
Please note however,
that our drivers charge us extra for this service,
since it may require them to alter their route,
or to backtrack on their route. If they cannot
accommodate the request, we will try to hire
a different, reputable, courier at a higher
price. We pass these extra charges on to you.
Are There
Any Restrictions to Delivery ?
Yes there are
a few.
We are unable
to deliver to PO boxes
Some Schools will not accept deliveries to students
and may not allow alcohol on premises.
Prisons will not accept deliveries to inmates.
Both the ports of Miami & Fort Lauderdale
will not let a driver deliver directly to the
cabin. It must be left with ship services and
ship services charges an extra $5.00 (cash).
Some communities are gated and do not allow
access nor will they accept deliveries on behalf
of an individual when they are not home.
Hotel deliveries are left with the concierge
of the hotel. The majority of the hotels will
not put baskets in the room prior to check-in
and often expect a gratuity.
Does Fabulous
Baskets Have Any Other Specific Delivery Requirements
?
Over the years,
we have learned that deliveries go smoother
with some "ground" rules.
We require a correct,
complete address, including Ave. vs. St..

Can We
Leave The Basket At The Door?
We will not leave a basket delivery either unsigned
or at the front door and unattended for several
reasons:
Our baskets, though
usually not requiring refrigeration, does require
air-conditioning. Our drivers are required to
drive with their AC on at all times.
Baskets left out, even if out of sight are subject
to theft.
Baskets left out, are in danger of unwanted
"pests" either invading the basket
or destroying the basket
Baskets left
outside can be tampered with by any passing
stranger.
What Happens
If No One Is Home Or A Business is Closed ?
If no one is
home, we will try to deliver the basket to a
neighbor, or the "gate" or anyone
else who has access to an air conditioned room
to store the basket and is willing to sign for
the basket. If someone accepts the basket on
their behalf, we will leave a message on the
door of the recipient letting them know that
a delivery was made for them and where it was
left.
If there is no-one who will accept the delivery,
we will try to contact the recipient to find
out if they are near by or if we can leave the
delivery with someone in particular. If we are
able to reach them, and they are reasonably
close by, we will deliver it as requested. If
we are unable to reach them, we will leave a
phone message (if possible) letting them know
that we have a delivery and will await their
instructions.
If there is no answer at the phone number we
have, we will try to reach you by phone to check
that we have the correct information or to await
your instructions. If the new delivery instructions
are close by, we will deliver as requested.
If we are unable to contact anyone, or if we
were given and incomplete or incorrect address,
the basket will be redelivered back to Fabulous
Baskets and then when new instructions arrive,
we will redeliver to the recipient.
Please note that,
our drivers charge us "wait time",
incorrect addresses (including Ave. instead
of St. and incorrect zip codes) or if no one
is home. They charge us to bring the basket
back to Fabulous Baskets and again to redeliver.
These charges are forwarded to you.
What If
I Send More Than One Basket To The Same Address
?
Sending more than one basket to one address
or office certainly cuts down on delivery time,
however, our baskets tend to be fairly large
and take up a lot of space in the drivers car,
stopping the driver from doing several other
deliveries. We found the only fair way to charge
for this is to charge ½ of the delivery
price for the second basket and each basket
after that is $3.25

Almost every one
of our baskets can be packaged for shipping
and sent out. We will be happy to do this for
you at your request. See below for restrictions.
Can You
Ship International Orders ?
We ship our packages worldwide.
Please note however,
that certain countries decide to "hold"
packages in customs for a very large fee and
sometimes either never release it or open the
basket up and take out what they want.
Please call for
a quote and to let us help you determine if
the package will arrive safely.
How Do
You Ship Your Baskets?
We ship throughout the continental US via reputable
shipping companies , usually UPS for ground
shipments and Fed EX for air shipments (next
day, 2 day or 3 day service). Occasionally,
we will use US postal service
Generally, unless
other wise specified, we may prepare our baskets
a little more condensed than if being hand delivered
locally or picked up. This helps save you some
of the shipping costs. .
Unless otherwise requested, we ship all parcels
by ground.
What Condition
Does My Basket Arrive in ?
We take great care to make sure that baskets
are packaged (sometimes double boxed) as safely
as possible to ensure that the basket and its
contents do not break and that there is little
movement from when we designed them. However,
after the box leaves our facilities, some items
can shift a little in the basket, and occasionally
a shipping company may drop a box or randomly
decide to open it.
How Long Does
It Take For The Shipment To Arrive
Transit time for a shipment varies depending
on:
? where it is going (zip code/zone)
? how we are sending it (ground/1 day, 2 day,
3-day)
? time of year (December is high traffic time
- deliveries take longer)
? what service is used ( UPS, Fed EX, USPS)
? Shipments originate in Florida and the farther
away (California, New York) the longer the time
to arrive.
All services count
days as "Business Days", not including
Saturdays, Sundays or holidays though Saturday
deliveries are available through UPS and Fed
Ex at an additional $10 fee.
USPS does not
guarantee transit time, even with their Priority
Service. While items generally arrive in 2 to
3 days, the USPS allows up to 14 days for delivery.
The same is true with UPS and Fed Ex ground
shipments. Transit times for these services
are estimates and refunds for deliveries that
do not arrive within 2-3 days will not be given.
UPS and Fed Ex
guarantee that air service will arrive within
the time frame requested. For example, If you
need your basket to arrive the next day, and
your request next day service, and if we have
the item in stock and if we are able to make
the basket before 2:00 PM, your basket will
arrive at its' destination the next day.

Are There
Any Restrictions On Shipping ?
Keeping in mind our rigorous requirements for
quality control, and insistence that each basket
arrives in perfect condition we have put some
restriction on shipments:
? We do not send ground shipments of chocolate
products during summer
? We do not send ground shipments of fresh fruit
products
? We do not send out ground shipments of freshly
baked products.
? Both Fed Ex and UPS store packages they pick
up on Fridays, in their Miami warehouse, during
the weekend. These warehouses are not air-conditioned.
Fabulous Baskets has elected to hold on to those
shipments in our own warehouse, until Mondays.
? We do not ship Balloons
? We do not ship fresh Flowers.
? We will not ship alcohol to minors
? Packages to out of town hospitals goes to
“receiving” and may be several days
before delivery to a patients’ room, long
after the patient has left the hospital. We
highly urge you
to send a get well basket to the house.
How Much Does It Cost To Ship My Basket
?
Shipping costs vary depending on size, weight,
destination and type of service.
Ground service is usually calculated by (volume)
weight, unless the package is oversized.
Air Service and oversized packages are calculated
by size ( dimensional weight) and is much more
costly than ground service.
Extra charges could include, pickup, Saturday
Delivery, tracking, customs, extra insurance,
etc.
Are Shipping
Charges Taxable ?
Shipping is an additional service offered to
the customer and as such is not taxable.
Can I
Bill My Fed-Ex or UPS Account ?
We are happy to bill your Fed-Ex or UPS account.
Please make sure to give this to us with your
order to ensure that this happens.
